United We Stand is a novel by Canadian author Eric Walters, and is the sequel to the award winning book We All Fall Down. The book picks up the day after the first book ends, September 12, 2001.
On September 11, 2001, Will Fuller and his father were on the 85th floor of the South Tower of the World Trade Center in New York City. Though Will and his father managed to escape the collapsing tower alive, his friend James has lost his father, a firefighter who had been inside the South Tower during its collapse. In the aftermath of the event, Will helps his friend James to get over his troubles with the loss of his father.
